Horses have been wild for hundreds of years, but one day mankind decided they were perfect for food. They herded the animals and soon learned they could be ridden and used for labor.
Mankind has used horses for many purposes. They were used for food, working cattle, plotting the land, hauling logs, and in war. Soon humans came up with the idea that they could be used for competitions. Soon English and Western riding was established.
English riders learned to jump their horses, they learned they could do dressage, cross country and more. Western riders learned they could rope, they could do cutting competitions, and western pleasure. Horses were not just for food or for riding anymore. Horses had become man's friend and companion.
The town of Oaks Down saw this. They built a city around the love for their horses. The town is near a wild horse 'sanctuary', where they get rounded up once a year and some are adopted out. This town has many equestrian centers. English and Western, people can come here and enjoy their lives with the one thing they know. Riding.Will you join us?
